The Program:

Amplify Labs' Summer internship is a 2 to 3-month program structured to teach you about high volume consumer electronics product development and challenge you with meaningful design projects which require creativity, excellent time management, resourcefulness, and perseverance when faced with setbacks.
    You should:
  • Be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in engineering
  • Have a demonstrated interest in audio electronics, acoustics, audio signal processing, or music
  • Have an interest in working on "side projects" outside of what is mandated in your classes or labs
  • Have a solid understanding of engineering physics
    Example Design Projects:
  • Develop a reference "artificial mouth" speaker used for testing telephony and voice user interfaces (Alexa, Ok Google, Siri, etc.)
  • Develop a test program for characterizing the linearity of a commercially available active loudspeaker for competitive benchmarking and baselining
  • Develop the software to characterize and validate the quality of a telephony system utilizing existing audio analyzer hardware, software libraries, etc.
  • Develop the software to help enable double-blind user experience testing for audio demos and research utilizing existing USB hardware with digital and analog I/O
  • Develop a laser measurement tool to characterize the excursion and linearity of a transducer
